Elkat

Polish super fertile strawberry variety, rich in large and tasty fruits. An Elsanta and Dukat cross, with high resistance to root system diseases, common leaf spot, leaf scorch and powdery mildew.
Fruiting time: Medium-early variety, usually fruits from the first week of June to the end of June.
Size and shape of fruits: Large and extra-large fruits. Heart-shaped or broad-conical shape with a slightly marked neck near the cup.
Taste and firmness: Very tasty, slightly aromatic and juicy fruits. Medium-firm pulp and a bright red colour of the skin.
Productivity: Super productive, high yield.
Plant type: Strong and very strong growth, compact and erected.
Resistance: Strawberry plants with high resistance to root system diseases, common leaf spot (mycosphaerella fragariae) and leaf scorch disease (diplocarpon earlianum), gray mold (botrytis cinerea) or powdery mildew (sphaerotheca macularis). Sufficiently resistant to frost.
Purpose: The Elkat variety is valuable for both processing and dessert purposes.
Cultivation type: Perfect for cultivation on plantations, gardens and ecological farms. Recommended for people who start professional cultivation.
