Pegasus

A variety with large, very good looking and tasty fruits. It is characterized by rich yield and high resistance to most diseases as well as low temperatures resistance.
Fruiting time: Medium-late variety, usually fruits from mid-June to the beginning of July.
Size and shape of fruits: Large, attractive strawberries with a regular, conical to heart shapes. Red to dark red skin with a gloss.
Taste and firmness: Juicy, sweet and tasty pulp. Sufficiently firm; perfectly endures transport.
Productivity: Very productive, high yield.
Plant type: Moderately strong growth, not very compact.
Resistance: Pegasus is resistant to Verticillium wilt, phytophthora crown rot (Phytophthora cactorum), common leaf spot (mycosphaerella fragariae) and leaf scorch disease (diplocarpon earlianum) as well as powdery mildew (sphaerotheca macularis). Moderately resistance to gray mold (botrytis cinerea). Frost resistant.
Purpose: Good for retail sale, for processing and own needs. Works very well in organic farming.
Cultivation type: Recommended for processing and dessert cultivation, as well as in-home gardens.
