Variety description

Hossa is polish everbearing variety. It fruits evenly. The strawberries are large, have a very good taste, a regular shape. The berries are intensevely red with glossy finish.
It’s an excellent choice for fresh market production, wholesale, home use, and organic farming.

Everbearing variety. It produces fruit evenly throughout the entire season.

Fruit quality
•    Taste: very tasty fruit.
•    Size: Large, maintaining size throughout harvest.
•    Shape and appearance: Uniform, regular shape. 
•    Color: Intensevely red with a glossy finish.
•    Firmness: Very good firmness, above the standard level.

Productivity: Very high and consistent.

Plant type: Bushes are relatively compact and grow healthily. The inflorescences are strong and held above the leaves, which ensures the fruit is well exposed and easy to pick.

Resistance: Resistant, in cultivation so far, it has not shown susceptibility to common diseases. Susceptibility to anthracnose is similar or slightly lower than in Albion and San Andreas. No issues with Verticillium or Phytophthora. It requires monitoring and protection against the two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) and the strawberry mite (Phytonemus pallidus) at the beginning of the growing season, as well as the tarnished plant bug (Lygus rugulipennis) in the second half of summer, which is characteristic of everbearing varieties.

Purpose: Perfect for fresh market and wholesale sales due to the uniform, attractive fruit size and color. Also suitable for home cultivation.

Cultivation recommendations
It is recommended to protect it against the strawberry mite (Phytonemus pallidus). When the first symptoms appear, leaves must be removed immediately and spraying applied.
