Hademar

Plant: As a generative-growing variety, Hademar requires continuous vegetative stimulation to produce new leaves in order to cope with abundant flower bud formation. It is recommended to maintain one well-developed leaf for every two fruits. Failure to keep this balance may lead to fruit deformation due to insufficient net photosynthesis. Plant growth is moderate; a healthy green canopy and sufficient leaf area are key to successful cultivation of Hademar. Minimizing the removal of green leaves is essential, while removing yellowing leaves helps open the plant for the development of new foliage. The inflorescences are long and extend above the plant, making them easy to trim. Most inflorescences naturally bend downward.
Resistance: the variety is resistant to root diseases and shows low susceptibility to powdery mildew, which makes cultivation easier and reduces the risk of crop losses.
Cultivation type: this versatile variety performs well in open field and tunnel production, as well as in substrate cultivation in tunnels and under cover. Overwintering in the ground is possible when grown on raised beds, leading to high early-season yields. Optimal soil conditions, without wet spots, are crucial to ensure balanced growth.
