Characteristics of potted strawberry plants – Plug type:
Potted strawberry plants grown in pots or multi-cell trays, with a well-developed root ball. They are produced exclusively from our strong, certified plants and a suitable peat-based substrate rich in micronutrients, which ensures proper rooting. They are easy and quick to plant, both mechanically and manually. They establish very well and have high yield potential.
Potted strawberry plants PLUG – the root ball of a single plant has a volume of 85 ml. They are grown by us in the nursery for a minimum of 6 weeks and sold in the same year. They are excellent for summer planting, mainly from June to August, or earlier if required, including after fruit harvest or after cereal harvest. They have enough time before winter to root properly and form a large number of flower buds.
They are very well suited to all production systems: open-field cultivation and protected cultivation, substrate production, raised beds, flat-ground cultivation, and soil-based systems. They allow growers to achieve a very good yield in the year following planting.
Wholesale orders for all types of potted strawberry plants should be placed in advance. Orders for Plug plants should be placed by June in the planting year.
