Faith

Fruiting time:
Faith is a late variety, ripening at approximately the same time as Florence, 7–10 days after Elsanta and immediately before Malwina. It offers a relatively long harvesting period.
Taste:
The berries are exceptionally tasty, juicy, and well balanced, with an excellent Brix-to-acidity ratio, providing a rich and pleasant strawberry flavour.
Fruit Size:
Faith produces very large, premium-quality fruit that maintains its size throughout the entire harvesting season without becoming smaller. A high percentage of the crop meets Class I quality standards.
Fruit attractiveness and shape:
The berries are uniform, conical, and highly attractive, closely resembling the shape of Sonata fruit.
Fruit colour:
The fruit develops an intense bright-red colour with an attractive glossy finish, making it highly appealing for the fresh market.
Fruit firmness:
Faith is distinguished by excellent firmness and outstanding storage performance. The berries retain their flavour, gloss, and texture during storage and transport. They are highly resistant to bruising, remain firm even under high temperatures, and do not develop pressure marks during harvesting.
Yield:
Faith is a very high-yielding variety, capable of producing approximately 1 kg of fruit per plant under favourable growing conditions. The extended harvesting period contributes to consistently high total yields.
Plant:
Plants are vigorous and strong-growing and should be planted at a slightly lower density to ensure optimal development. Well-branched flower trusses make harvesting easy and efficient.
Resistance:
Faith shows good tolerance to powdery mildew (Podosphaera aphanis) and grey mould (Botrytis cinerea). However, protection against Phytophthora cactorum is recommended. The variety also performs well during periods of heavy rainfall at harvest.
Purpose:
Faith is suitable for both direct marketing and commercial retail distribution, thanks to its excellent appearance, firmness, and shelf life.
Cultivation type:
The variety is particularly well suited to open-field cultivation, where it demonstrates excellent winter hardiness and good tolerance to heavy rainfall during the harvesting season.
Cultivation recommendations:
Faith has no special nutritional requirements. For the best results, maintain adequate spacing between plants and ensure sufficient potassium availability during the flowering stage.
